Brent Venables, who also worked beneath Stoops as an assistant, has taken around for Riley.
In Riley’s virtually 5 several years as head coach, the group received the Large 12 convention four times, and gained two bowl game titles. The crew also lost just two games in every single season though Riley was there.
When Riley introduced he was leaving the group in November, Stoops arrived out of retirement to coach the Sooners in the Alamo Bowl, which they won. The former coach was honored for this act of stepping up on Tuesday.
