University soccer realignment is in the air all over again soon after USC and UCLA resolved to be part of the Massive Ten in 2024, with all eyes now on the place the future shift could transpire.
Including the Big 12, which reacted to getting rid of powerhouses Texas and Oklahoma to the SEC by introducing BYU, Houston, Cincinnati, and UCF.
Large 12 is “open for company”
In his first general public remarks, incoming Major 12 commissioner Brett Yormark explained his convention is exploring every single attainable possibility for realignment and enlargement.
“We’re open up for business enterprise,” Yormark advised reporters at Massive 12 Media Times.
“And optionality is great. And we’re vetting by all of them. I assume it can be fair to say I’ve acquired a large amount of phone calls, a lot of curiosity. We’re discovering individuals degrees of curiosity. Very little is imminent.”

Significant 12 and Pac-12 have talked prior to
The two conferences viewed as the “losers” of the latest university football realignment have been in talks with each and every other in the recent earlier.
Again just after Texas and OU introduced their intent to leave, then-Large 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby proposed his league merge with the Pac-12.
That idea was shot down at the time by the Pac-12, which thought it experienced USC and UCLA in its long run strategies. Now that those people blue-chip attributes are on the transfer, the Pac-12 could possibly be far more open to a merger.
Reviews have indicated that the Huge 12 has been in “deep discussions” with Pac-12 customers, but for now it seems the realignment method has pressed pause.
