Durant losing confidence in Nets brass over Kyrie situation?

Kevin Durant hasn’t talked to anyone from the Nets in weeks and is dropping assurance in the team’s ability to deal with the contract standoff with Kyrie Irving, Logan Murdock of The Ringer explained on a modern podcast (hat suggestion to NetsDaily).

There has been increasing speculation around the earlier 7 days that Durant may possibly force his way out if Brooklyn cannot re-signal Irving. Murdock stated that determination isn’t inescapable, but warned that concerns about the opportunity “destruction” of the current roster are legitimate.

“I really do not know if he’s at the phase of leaving but there’s a major uneasiness from not only from the Kyrie aspect, but the KD aspect as well,” Murdock said.

Brooklyn was lauded as the NBA’s upcoming tremendous team when Durant, Irving and DeAndre Jordan decided to signal there as cost-free agents in 2019. James Harden was included in a January 2021 offer to type a Significant Three, but points have not long gone as planned. The Nets have captured just one particular playoff series in that span, Harden is presently long gone and the other two stars appear to be in danger of leaving as very well.

Murdock defined that when Durant chose Brooklyn, he experienced a vision of competing for titles although participating in alongside his close friends. Due to the fact that has not happened, Durant is beginning to look at his choices, particularly if Irving doesn’t return.

“His biggest beef is that he feels that the entrance place of work did not mature to understand Kyrie, whatsoever that indicates,” Murdock claimed. “I would press back on that when a guy leaves for two weeks at a time … Kyrie earns the lion’s share of the blame. But I feel KD thinks that ‘hey, you men didn’t understand this guy. You didn’t check out to figure out where by he was coming from.’”

Durant is also disappointed about the Nets’ predicted parting with Adam Harrington as an assistant mentor and director of improvement. Harrington was Durant’s capturing coach with the Thunder and is a longtime good friend.

Murdock adds that Durant chose not to be associated in the Nets’ free agent recruiting process this year.
