Jordan Retro 14 Shoes For Basketball

Jordan Retro 14 Shoes For Basketball

A another grey shoe has just dropped on the sneaker world. Wait, let me rephrase that. The Jordan Retro 14 in a “Light Graphite” colorway has just released to rave reviews in the sneaker community. Okay, that sounds much better. And much more accurate. This is not just another grey shoe. This is the legendary shoe that Michael Jordan wore in the last game he ever played in an NBA Finals Championship. A game in which he dropped the game winning shot over Byron Russell of the Utah Jazz to earn himself and the Chicago Bulls a sixth Finals Championship Ring. Of course the colorway of this shoe he was wearing at the time was a Black/Red edition. That colorway of the Jordan 14 will release later this year. For now, we have the beautiful “Light Graphite” 14 to cop.

This new shoe features a Light Graphite nubuck upper with black contrast stitching. In addition, quarter panel perforation is used on the shoe’s upper. The tongue and midsole use Black. In addition, Black is also used on the midsole claws, a unique design that makes the Jordan 14 a truly epic shoe. Midnight Navy is used throughout the shoe as accents. The shoe’s laces and outsole are done in a clean white and finish off the shoe perfectly. This shoe is more than a worthy addition to the Jordan Retro line of shoes. It just dropped and plenty of pairs are available as Jordan Brand has made it a general release.

This new Jordan 14 has been highly anticipated by the sneaker community. It is the first in several 14’s that will drop this holiday season. This is a historical, if not epic shoe. It was the last pair of Air Jordans that Michael wore before announcing his retirement from the NBA on January 13, 1999. He announced his retirement from the NBA for the second and what was supposed to be the final time. An NBA lockout had been initiated a few weeks after MJ won his sixth and final championship and most fans and players alike speculate that Jordan just didn’t want to deal with the politics of the NBA anymore.

The Air Jordan 14, designed by legendary shoe designer Tinker Hatfield who used Michael Jordan’s Ferrari 550M as inspiration in developing the shoe, will drop more than once in the upcoming months. This colorway, however, is particularly stunning. There have been many basketball shoes dropped in various shades of grey recently, but this one will definitely not get lost in the grey colored shoe crowd.

The Jordan 14 is one of the most epic and historically significant pair of Jordan shoes for basketball. Regardless of what colorway the shoe is dropped in, it is an epic shoe and is a must have for all sneakerheads.
