1925: Cleveland Indians set an Opening Day scoring record by defeating the St. Louis Browns 21-14, which also set the AL record for most total runs (35) scored in an Opening Day while Cleveland also tied the MLB record for most errors (10) in any MLB game 

1910: William Howard Taft became the very 1st sitting U.S. President to throw the 1st pitch on Opening Day in D.C.
