1985: Utah Jazz C Mark Eaton concluded the 1984-85 season with 456 Blocks for an average of 5.56 BPG, both NBA records that still stand today. Eaton is still the only player with 400+ BLK in a season since tracking began 1973-74
1975: Led by SG Rick Barry‘s Playoff-record 8 STL, the Golden State Warriors’ 22 STL set an NBA Playoff record in their Game 1 victory over the Seattle SuperSonics. Only Allen Iverson has beaten Barry’s record while no other team has ever recorded more than 20 STL in a game

1925: Cleveland Indians set an Opening Day scoring record by defeating the St. Louis Browns 21-14, which also set the AL record for most total runs (35) scored in an Opening Day while Cleveland also tied the MLB record for most errors (10) in any MLB game
